Set of 4 silver plate Russian tea glass holders, with repousse designs in Art Nouveau style.
Measure 3 3/4" to top of handle order, 4 1/4" across, including handle, 2 5/8" diameter, base slightly wider.
Hallmark in Cyrillic on handle.
Lovely repousse work depicting a man on a horse, surrounded by vines and branches of lush flowers, leaves , strawberries and pears.
Tea glass holders area common household items in Russian and other Eastern European countries, and are made in silver, plate, and filigree forms. Classic Russian scenes are popular, and are usually crafted with elaborate details, often in Art Nouveau style.
This set does not include the glasses, but they can be found online easily.
Good condition, signs of usage, including abrasions to surface and very slight dents in base, visible spots of tarnish. Due to vintage age and signs of use, they are sold AS IS.
