The Discoverer, NC Wyeth
1928 N. C. Wyeth (1882-1945) art print illustration. "The Discoverer" is one of a series of five murals in the "Romance of Discovery" series that Wyeth did in the late 1920's. This art print was a supplement to a 1928 magazine and measures approximately 32"x 10", this is a re-print for National Geographic Society for their centennial. " The Discoverer" shows an exploration party reaching the top of a mountain and surveying all they have found. Beautiful collectible art by one of the most famous realist painters of all time.

This print fit perfectly above our mantle for over 30 years in the house in which I grew up!
It is nicely framed, and in excellent condition. The frame is oak.
