The object:
Marianne Westman's joyous large cutting board plate, triangular shape and colorful food decoration. It was decorated by hand, giving it a unique touch. Marianne designed the bowl in 1956 as part of the "Picnic" (Picknick) series. Maker: Rörstrand, original production, Material: Creamware, Very great vintage condition without any cracks or major scratches - glaze still shiny and fresh. ATTN! There is a very minor/shallow chip on the lower back side as per photos. The price has been adjusted accordingly, still very good condition. Length: 28,5 cm Width: 25 cm

The artist:
Marianne Westman (1928-2017) is one of the well known representatives of the illustrious Swedish ceramic design of the 20th century. She was one of the leading designers for the Rörstrand factory in the 1950s-1970s. Her Picknick (Picnic) series was designed in 1956 during the order golden era of Swedish pottery. The tableware was made of flintware with gently rounded shapes and colorful motifs from the flora and fauna.
