Vintage Ted Williams Baseball Glove Wilson A2144 Ball Hawk -1950's
This store model facsimile "autograph" glove has been hidden away for years since its last game and is in need of a good home. The condition of this glove is rare for its age. Great decorator piece for the home bar or to add to your glove collection. This would make a great gift for your favorite Boston Red Sox fan!
Made for right hand thrower. Glove goes on left hand.
Leather very supple. Hard to find a glove in this condition. Please check all pictures for close-up condition.

Without much argument Ted Williams will go down as the greatest baseball hitter in the last half of the 20th century and is recognized as an iconic Hall of Fame player. Here's one of his half-century old gloves made with his long-time endorsed company Wilson Sporting Goods, a company and plant he often visited as one of its star endorsers. Though a batter interested more in bats, he posed for hundreds of glove photos for Wilson during his career. This is his A2171 model, a youth style order, but a glove boasting a great look and patina. The Williams signature is classic. There are no tears, broken laces, lining is smooth. The picture pocket, though oiled, shows an outfielder with outstretched arm making a catch. The glove is a little over 9 inches high and my adult had feels tight inside. There is a light "EM" initials on the web, from it's original owner, which is common for gloves from this era. But this remains a great display piece for hall of fame, Red Sox or, of course, a Ted Williams display in any man cave.
