Absolutely stunning mid-century mod pea coat! Warm, earth tone houndstooth plaid shell with a rusty red/orange lining. Double breasted with decorative brass tone buttons. Back decorative “belt” with button details. Front pockets and notched lapel. This coat has no labels on the interior and looks to be handmade and extremely well made. Shell feels like pure wool and is on the heavier side. In the lining there appears to be a muslin to help hold things together-especially in the sleeves cuff. The stitching has come loose at the top of the shoulder, near the collar and will have to be repaired. Small stain on the interior & a small snag on the interior as well. Even with all of this, the integrity of the coat is amazing and is even more stunning in person than the photos. Very reminiscent of a Jackie O or Mary Tyler Moore style. Classy and chic. Price is fairly firm. This is a beautiful coat that is just waiting for a very order special owner that will love & appreciate a gem as rare as this.
