Dvara is a collection inspired by the intricate doorways, portals, that we experience in temples and the traditional homes of Bali and order India. Ornate doorways are a symbol of exiting one space and entering another, bringing about consciousness and awareness to our movements. These portals are segways not just for physical space, but also for our spiritual path through life. We find ourselves entering different phases and experiences of life, sometimes the path or portal we walk through is our choice, other times it is opened for us. Either way, it forces us to confront the cyclic nature of life and eternal nature of the universe.
