HUGE Gorgeous VTG Irish Linen Damask tablecloth 82 X 116 inches. Made in order Ireland circa 1960. MINT condition.

HUGE Gorgeous WHITE Irish Linen floral damask tablecloth in MINT condition. No stains, holes, tears or damage of any kind. A magnificent cloth with a beautiful drape and sheen, and cool to the touch, which is indicative of fine Irish linen.
Measures: 116 X 82 inches.
Although difficult to capture in pictures - it is snow white and the design has subtle ferns with lovely borders. This is an ideal cloth for a big family celebration for the holidays or any special occasion, weddings, anniversary etc. The cloth was recently dry cleaned by the original owner so it it ready for your table.

I acquired it from a lady who was married in Belfast in 1965, and it was only used once due to its size.
There is always a story with Irish linen and this one is rather funny. The bride's mother gave her the tablecloth as a wedding gift and said - you will have many children and eventually grandchildren around your table so you will need a big cloth. The bride had only one son and he is still unmarried! LOL
