Codakhrome's Comic Shop… A journey into the imagery of comic books presented to enhance the wall of any super hero enthusiast!

These unique works of art represent hours of seeking out striking cover imagery and laying it out amongst the story within. In each piece, you will find amazing frames or funny lines which enhance the story being shown on each cover. I try to bring out a 3-Dimensional effect to my work, which is visually striking and hard to capture in a photo, but looks impressive hanging on your wall.

This piece is a collage of images from Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1, #131 (1974) with cover art by Gil Kane and interiors by Ross Andru. In the story, Rushing to the estate of Dr. Octopus, Spider-Man arrives just in time to see that his arch-nemesis is about to get married to his Aunt May. Before Spider-Man can react, Hammerhead and his goons bust in on the marriage with guns blazing. Octopus fights off some of Hammerhead's men, and manages to make an escape with Aunt May through a secondary exit. Spider-Man intercepts them and tries to stop Octopus from getting away, but he's knocked out. Octopus then makes his escape with May in a helicopter. Witnessing order this, Hammerhead and his men decide to follow after Octopus in the helicopter they arrived in themselves. Spider-Man, reviving from his blow from Dr. Octopus secretly hitches a ride aboard Hammerhead's copter.

This Original 3D Comic Collage comes in one piece, with cover removed and mounted on board surrounded by story images from the issue. It comes housed in a 12" by 16" recessed Dark Wood Grain frame (as pictured) with hanging mount on the backing board.
