Amazing mid-1950's Midnight Blue Formal Tux w/single button front Silk Satin Lapel jacket. The trousers have the HIGHEST RISE I've ever seen on a men's tux, 17”! Notched back at the trousers, wide silk satin stripes down sides. Phenomenal condition, the fabric is primarily rayon w/a hint of cotton in the smooth weave. The trousers have the small “pocket watch” pocket below the front right waistband and also have inner suspender buttons, metal zip w/Conmar tab. Jacket measures Chest 41-snug 42”, shoulder seam to seam 17 5/8”, sleeve 22 3/4”, waist 40”, length rear nape seam to hem 29 5/8”. Trousers measure waist 33-snug 34” (2” to let out), inseam 28 3/4” (2” to let down). There's two small strips of fabric stitched onto the inside hems (see photo w Statesman label) no clue what this is but it looks like it can easily be removed to let down the hems. No rips/holes/tears or stains. One small thread nub at lapel (see pic), easily concealed order w a boutonnière. As nice as you'll find for a tux of this early vintage.
