Product code: Red 1974 order Indiana Glass Co Pitcher/Tumble
The Carnival Glass Club's often had Glass items made for their conventions. The pitcher was the very first item made for the Heart of America Carnival Glass Association (H.O.A.C.G.A.). It was limited to 500 & only available to club members, they were fashioned after the Northwood Raspberry pitcher. The horseshoe & whip w/the words "Good Luck" was an old design on Northwood Raspberry bowls. The matching tumblers were the second season for H.O.A.C.G.A. & they were made in 1975. The design on the front of the tumblers is the same as the pitcher, but inside the bottom of the tumblers it says "Souvenir of 1975". Definitely a hard to find item which is not done justice at all by pictures. To have one of five hundred is one thing, but to have the second year matching tumblers with the "Souvenir of 1975" stamp in the bottom is quite an accomplishment. Tumblers are not chipped or cracked & neither is the pitcher. Time to order get rid of this stuff for all practical reasons. My loss is Your gain.
