African opulence is the glamorous order theme for this beautiful wedding broom! Africa is a continent of many natural riches and its people incorporated them creatively into their art and into their fashion. The cowrie shells (here in silver and gold) found along the coast of Mozambique and Ras Hafun, and the guinea fowl (or "kanga" in Swahili) feathers often used in African celebrations, are combined on this broom with rich tones and patterns of silver and gold. Jump this broom at the close and confirmation of your marriage ceremony and pay homage to our brave, defiant, and resilient ancestors for whom, when they were enslaved and were not allowed by those who enslaved them, to marry, jumping the broom was a secret ceremony signifying marriage. As with all of my broom designs, this broom, measuring 40", is finished on the back as well. Please note: each broom is made at each customer's request so none are actually sold out unless the materials used to make the broom are no longer available as is the case with this broom: the gold glittered ribbons are now sold out and will be replaced with a different gold or silver ribbon. Shipping costs will vary depending on your location, and whether you request expedited delivery. I will let you know according to your location and time frame information.
