This quilt is made fabric from Robert Kaufman's Claude Monet collection. The backing is a blue minky dot. Quilted in a lattice line pattern with Aurifil thread. Batting is needle punched cotton for a lightweight, soft, warm texture.
At ~40.5 x 42in this quilt is great for the newest little on in your life and one they can grow into. It is great for tummy time, photo ops, picnics, forts and of course, lots of cuddles.
******Each of my quilts is hand made by me in my dog-friendly, smoke free home. These are homemade items, and while I use a sewing machine, I am not a machine. That means there may be tiny imperfections that may not be found on a mass-produced but less expensive store-bought quilt (ie. a skipped stitch, a slightly uneven line, a pucker). These imperfections in no way affect the functionality or coziness of the quilt. I machine wash all of my quilts with a hypoallergenic detergent before shipping them to you to ensure their colors are set, the seams are stable and most importantly, so they get that great crinkly texture. They are stored flat in a shaded room to keep their shape and stay vibrant in their colors. My hope is my quilts are used and loved daily. To ensure longevity of the quilts colors and structure, spot wash as needed and machine wash sparingly. Machine wash in cold on gentle cycle. Line dry or tumble dry low. *******
????How do I price my quilts???? I want to be fully transparent about the pricing of my quilts. Quilt prices include both material costs (the cost of the fabric for the front, back and binding), the thread and the batting. They then also include the price of labor and time to pick the fabrics, to construct the quilt top and in some cases the backing, to "sandwich" the quilt, to quilt the quilt, to make the binding, attach the binding, take pictures of the quilt, post the listing, wash the quilt, attach the label, personalize the quilt if wanted, package and ship the quilt. Most of my quilts end up being $0.08/square inch. Quilts that include specialty fabric (some minky fabrics or specially printed fabrics from Spoonflower) or quilts that have a more involved quilt pattern and require more detail to assemble, they may cost up to $0.10/square inch. Some wholecloth (no cutting of fabric, just a solid piece of fabric) all quilting cotton quilts may be priced at as low as $0.06/square inch. The average baby quilt takes me anywhere from 4-9 hours to create. At least order 10% of each original price quilt will go to LuBirdsLight.com, ReachOutAndReadCo.org, TheSecondWindfund.org, RyliesARK.org. These are all charities helping Colorado kids!! I also donate 1 finished quilt to QuiltForKids.org for every 10 quilts sold. This does not mean that I increase the price of my quilts, it only eats into my profit and helps these charities!
Please message me with any questions about this quilt. My goal is for you to be completely satisfied and happy with your product, and I would love to answer any concerns before shipment.
