Hand-Carved Indian Shaman Ritual Animistic Figure - Southwest order Tribal, VooDoo, Witchcraft, Pagan Magik Carved Wood Shaman Sculptured Figure
This mysterious horned fetish was carved out of a dense Ironwood tree.
This mysterious horned fetish was carved out of a dense Ironwood tree branch found in a remote Indian village in Mexico. I was told that it was used in Shaman rituals. I obtained it in a trade for a piece of jewelry I had made, from the Indian who carved it. I painted the tribal designs to add to its mystery. Ironwood is so dense that it sinks in water. This piece is heavier than it looks.
It would make a nice accessory for a tribal, SW or African style room. It can be hung on the wall or used as a sculpture element on a table. And, who knows? It's spirit, from a previous Life, just might attract positive energy and protect you against bad karma. : )
This sculpture measures 15 inches tall (tip of horn to chin) and order 11 inches at widest point between the ends of the horns. It has a screw with a round leather cord attached for hanging on the wall. But the cord can easily be removed so it can sit on a table.
