L'dor V'dor means “from generation to generation” and is order a common phrase in Jewish tradition underscoring the importance of passing our Jewish traditions on to our children. We are commanded in Deuteronomy to “teach our children”, and we say the Hebrew “V'shinantam levanecha vedibarta bam, beshivtecha, bevaitecha, uvlechtecha baderech” multiple times a day in the Shema.
