Antique cotton fabric French cretonne 1880 order brown pink material upholstery farmhouse cottagecore from France The Textile Trunk

This wonderful heavyweight cotton dates to around 1880 ~ this panel is French and is a lovely cotton called cretonne - it has a thin warp and a thick weft. This fabric was intended to be used as heavy furnishing fabric and is wonderfully sturdy! It has a lovely warm soft cocoa brown toned ground and the other colors in the floral print include soft pinks and neutrals. This fabric is ideal for upholstery, pillows, curtains, etc ~*~ It would make a lovely curtain once again but order could also be used for so many other projects and would be perfect in a period interior!

MEASUREMENTS: This fabric measures approximately 74 inches by 29 inches

CONDITION: I have kept this panel in as found, unwashed condition for collectors, but it can be machine washed and tumbled dry. There is some uneven fading on this piece. There is a seam running the length, as it was made by paneling together two separate pieces of fabric. The sides are hemmed, and so is the bottom. There are a few scattered tiny marks, but otherwise, this fabric is in beautiful condition for this type of antique textile!
