This is a mixed media piece of Cameron Falls, Waterton. It is both wood burned and acrylic painted on a piece of pine wood that ranges in size from 7x11 inches to 24x36 inches.
This piece was inspired by a photo I took this summer while order my wife and I were visiting Waterton Lakes National Park. Being from Southern Alberta, Waterton has always been a special place for me.
This art is made upon receiving the order which means it may differ slightly from the images above.
My process to make these pieces is as follows:
Draw on the lines with pencil
Burn in the lines my wood burning tool
Paint in the spaces
Burn the edges of the wood with a torch
Seal the piece with a clear gloss covering
Though I don't have a time-lapse video of this painting, you can watch the time-lapse video of the creation of similar artworks on my YouTube channel "Brian Sloan Artist"!
