Camera overview:
The vintage Polaroid Pronto Sonar OneStep Instant Camera can be a fun take on the famous Polaroid instant camera and was one of the first to feature the Sonar autofocus system. It is part of the Polaroid Pronto Land Camera series and uses the SX-70 film type.
The Polaroid Pronto can live up to its name, delivering quick, focused instant photographs. The Polaroid Pronto Sonar OneStep Land Camera model was released in 1978 with innovative automatic features. The Sonar autofocus feature uses sound waves to read the subject of your photograph and automatically focus its lens before taking the picture. The camera calculates the distance between the lens and your subject using these sound wave readings in under a second. There is also a switch and a wheel on the front of the device that allows for manual focus if you choose. Standard on the Polaroid Pronto SX-70 Land Camera model is automatic exposure control for bright settings and through-the-lens viewing.
