Large Antique Chinese Scholars Brush Washer Tray, Soapstone Hand Carved Lotus Bloom order Dish, Asian Late 19th Century

A large Chinese hand-carved stone brush washer tray. It's in the shape of a lotus leaf with blossom and bamboo stalk details. The form is typical of a traditional Chinese scholar's brush washer tray. It is carved from a dark stone, which may be soapstone. I don't know its exact age, but I believe it dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. The last photo features a small stone washer tray which I also have listed in my shop.

4.5cm x order 25cm x 19cm

CONDITION

Age and wear, various chips, scratches and surface wear.
Please note this is a vintage item and will have signs of use and wear.
