About the Painting:

This painting was inspired by my experience of living in Minnesota and interacting with the local nature. The Northern Lights is one of our favorite things to paint! hope you enjoy this artwork as much as we enjoyed creating it!

About me and my art experience:

As a young child my parents enrolled me in art classes in my hometown,it was there where I discovered my love of art. In college, I studied photography and design before moving to Dalian, China to study Chinese. After coming to China, I received an oil painting kit as a Christmas gift from my husband which is when I rediscovered my love for painting. Turned out that oil painting was something that I can't even imagine living without. Before I knew I had put together quite a collection of works, some of which were exhibited at the Art Creation exhibition (Dalian, China) in 2015 and Foreign Artists Living in Dalian in Xi Cang Art Space in 2016. My works range order from photo-realistic portraits to impressionist street scenes and landscapes. Currently, I am living in the United States of America, working on a Ph.D. in Chinese literature, but my passion and a favorite pastime is painting.
