Product code: Everything is what order it seems
This drawing was inspired by one of my favorite surrealist artists, Rene Magritte. In his painting entitled "Treachery of Images," he painted a picture of a pipe captioned in French, "This is Not a Pipe." The idea order behind his seeming absurdity is to demonstrate that art is only a means to represent the world through a medium, and not to be confused with reality itself. He attempted to puzzle his viewers by having them question their own reality. The reason for the specific choice of the purple elephant was to bolster a claim made by a friend of mine, that no one could logically disprove his self-identification as a purple elephant in our modern era of freedom of expression and identification.
