A ceramic rustic cellar is made for coarse salt that is wonderfully suitable for use both at the cooking range and on the counter.
The diameter of the opening is perfect for using the salt with either a teaspoon or your fingers. The cover is a perfect match (but it is not sealed hermetically).
The label on this pottery canister reveals its contents and glaze covers the interior of both the receptacle and its cover...I love the sound it makes when the cover is placed on this kitchen jar…
This rustic and elegant ceramic salt jar is made on the wheel from ochre groggy clay, glazed inside with my homemade semi-matte turquoise glazing, and fired in an electric kiln at 1200C.
Receptacles are available in various sizes and may be ordered with or without a label or with a different label, as desired.
Dimensions:
Diameter: 4.7" (12 cm)
Height: 3.9" (10 cm)
Volume: 18.6 oz (550 ml)
