This very pretty antique oval crystal trinket box with hallmarked sterling silver lid is in very good condition. There are no chips or cracks to the glass, or dings to the lid. There is what appears to be a crack to the base, however, I believe this to be a production fault. The base is heavily cut in a diamond pattern while the repousse lid is finished in a leaf and nut design. The lid interior is order gilt. The hallmarks are nice and crisp, dating the box to Chester 1919. The makers' initials are a little more difficult to decipher but appear to be 'L&RG.' I haven't been able to determine who this may have been.
