Beautiful vintage (1960's) Lea Stein Serigraphy, these are becoming quite rare.
Serigraphy is a fine art, colour stencil printmaking process.
Amongst the most valuable items in Stein's collection are the Serigraphy brooches
Stunning colour way of Anemone in Sepia set in a beautiful translucent frame.
The size of the brooch is approx 5.5 cm diameter
V shaped heat mounted clasp, not signed as common for early pieces
Lea Stein's order whimsical designs are sought after by collectors worldwide. Each piece is made by hand in her Paris workshop.
Léa's husband discovered a process of laminating layers of celluloid with various other materials, hence the wonderful variety of textures found in her work.
Léa ceased trading in 1981 and started again several years later. As well as releasing some of her vintage pieces she produces a few new designs each year. Her jewellery has become highly collectible in countries all around the world.
I'm downsizing my collection which consists of several different designs, including many dating back to Lea Stein's vintage period (see last 2 photos for some other designs I have for sale - happy to list any of interest)
Please contact me should you be after any specific colour or design (see last photo of Brooches & bangles by other designers I have for sale)
