Charming pair of early 20th Century folding glasses with glass lenses. The lenses seems to be for astigmatism and they magnify a little too. The maker's mark of a backward F and a K is for Frank Krementz. These glasses seem to have either a low karat, white gold or rhodium finish. The sides have delicate engraved detail. The nose grips appear to be celluloid.
Fully open, these measure about 4 1/2 inches across the front, from hinge to hinge. The sides measure 4 1/2 inches. The glass section is about 1 1/2 inches high by 1 1/2 inches across the widest section.
These are in fine antique condition with light surface wear, some patina, especially on the sliding part of the sides. The mechanics work well. The glass has a few small scratches. I did not find these with a case.
