This vintage framed wall art is gravure that is an image produced from etching a plate and engraving it into a material and producing a print from it. If you order look at the close-ups, you can see the fine detail. These were produced by Sungott Art Studios of NY who also had artists colorize to enhance the scene that I believe appears to be 19th Century European scene of a river with families rowing down it.
Style No. 210 (some people think this is the print number but all scenes have same number). The frame is gold and is chipping paint throughout. I love the four brass detailed pieces cornering the matting.
Prints appear to be mounted on wood, behind glass, and the frame has gilding. The paper backings have a few small tears from age but still completely cover and are tight.
The frame measures 19 1/2 by 17 1/2 inches. This is one of the larger examples I have found of this work.
