Marianne Westman's rare RED triangular cutting board/cheese plate with red fish decoration. It was decorated by hand, giving it a unique touch. Marianne designed the dish in 1951 as part of the Frisco series. Maker: Rörstrand, original production, Material: Flintware. Excellent vintage condition little to no signs of wear. Glaze is still shiny and fresh - no crazing. Small white mark in top left corner is misapplied glaze, not a chip. Frisco, with its era-typical expression, was one of Marianne's personal favorites. Length 36 cm, width 12 cm

Marianne Westman (1928-2017) is one of the well known order representatives of the illustrious Swedish ceramic design of the 20th century. She was one of the leading designers for the Rörstrand factory in the 1950s-1970s. The Frisco series was designed in 1951 during the golden era of Swedish pottery. The tableware was made of flintware with geometric shapes, fish patterns, and blue or red color schemes.
