Due to the nature of these boards and that this flag is hand crafted, no two flags will look exactly alike.
We give each of the 13 boards a light sanding to clean up the roughness of the board but we do our best to keep the rustic look that each pallet board has. Nail holes, scratches, cracks and knots are left to keep the characteristic charm of the boards. We use a wood stain to give the boards their color. The flag is then distressed to give the stain a worn and distressed look. A coat of matte polyurethane gives this sign a nice finished and helps protect the boards. Even though it is given a coat of sealer, we still recommend that you keep it out of direct sun and the elements to help extend the life of your sign.
