Your very own, 100% CUSTOM, oak bourbon barrel cap is the perfect addition to a home, cabin, getaway retreat, etc. Celebrating a wedding or an anniversary? A bridal shower? Want to memorialize a special event? Create a trophy for a competition? Have a photo of a big fish that you caught? A company logo? A favorite sports team? If you can dream it, we can turn it into a custom bourbon barrel cap!

We harvest reclaimed bourbon barrels from distilleries and breweries, disassemble them, and go through a rigorous process to secure/seal the inner, round part of the end of the barrel (we call it the "cap") so it will last lifetimes. This "cap" is the canvas for whatever image or design you can imagine. Finished barrel caps are roughly 21" in diameter. We finish every cap with a durable floor sealer, and also include easy-to-use wall-hanging hardware with every order we build/ship.

Your design idea starts with you. We'll help you bring the idea to life using one of our design templates, or we can create a completely custom design from scratch. We use high-precision tools - laser engraving, photo engraving, computerized routing - and good old fashioned elbow grease to build stunning custom pieces that help you Tell Your Story.

The process is simple:

1. Select the Template you'd like to base your design on. Choose from Last Name, Heart & Arrow, Large Letter, or Custom. If you'd like small changes made to an existing template, that's no problem - just specify the changes you'd like made in the Personalization section. If you choose a Custom template, please provide as much detail about the design you'd like as possible. You can also message us separately (or call) to discuss the details. Also choose the Custom option if you'd like to order a Blank barrel cap to customize on your own.

2. Select the Detailing you'd like:
- Blank: We'll build you your own ready-made blank canvas. We will secure, flatten, seal and prepare a barrel cap and ship it to you. You take it from there, and customize it on your own!
- Laser Engraving ONLY: We'll laser engrave your approved design on the cap to your specifications, and will (optionally) apply paint to laser engraved areas, if you choose.
- Custom Routing ONLY: We use our high-precision computerized routing tools to engrave the wood to your approved design specifications, and (optionally) apply paint or stain to accent the engraving work.
- 3D Routing + Laser: We'll use a combination of laser engraving AND computerized 3D routing techniques to meet your design specifications. We can inlay lettering, create 3D images, etc. to build truly stunning three-dimensional pieces.
- 5" Deep Deluxe Cap: We harvest the entire 5" of the end of a whiskey barrel along with the cap to create a piece that has even more dimension and is spectacular. Extra process is applied to secure the barrel head so it will remain intact, and you are able to choose any combination of laser engraving, computerized routing, and/or 3D lettering to meet your design specifications.

3. Specify the names, text, dates, etc. you'd like to include in the Personalization section. If you have a specific image you'd like to include (or to model your design after), send as an attachment via an Etsy message. Also use this section to tell us what finish color you'd like. Choose from Natural Oak, Golden Oak, Cognac, or Walnut.

4. After you place your order, we will contact you to begin the design process. Whether you're starting from scratch, have a hand drawing of an idea, or have a fully-baked design already, we will work with you! Digital design proof(s) will be emailed throughout the order process, and we won't start machining your bourbon barrel cap until you approve the design.
