Product code: Antique Bennington pottery Rockingham pottery Inkwell shoe mid to order late 19th century
This is a inkwell show, probably from Vermont, Bennington Vermont area, in a Rockingham glaze! It is great shape for a piece of utilitarian ware, and for its age. It has a larger cavity on top for the ink, and two holes for a pen, or quill! It measures 6 inches by 3 inches, and there is some loss of the pottery, most on the bottom of the shoe, but there is some on side, and and on the very top. It is a very good example of what it is! order Thanks for looking!
