This gorgeous 4-cup teapot was crafted from new stone by Spode, and is part of their Blue Fitzhugh collection, so popular it was produced for more than 35 years, from 1954-1990. This collection was named after Englishman Thomas Fitzhugh who order served as director of the British East India Company in Canton, in the 1700's. This beautiful drum shaped teapot measures 4" high to the top of the rim and features a blue band & flowers. The lid is adorned with a flower bud finial and embossed leaves. Please also notice the unique twisted handle and embossed flowers where the handle is attached to the teapot. It is stamped with the makers mark, and is in exceptional condition; flawless.
