These sterling silver earrings feature 5 carats of carved Crystal Quartz beads (9mm), 4.5 carats of faceted Blue Apatite rondelles (3mm) and 1.5 carats of faceted Tsavorite Garnet rondelles (2mm).

Quartz frequently forms the inner lining of geodes. Most geodes have an inner layer of larger crystalline Quartz, and an outer layer of Chalcedony or banded Agate.

Tsavorite garnet is a rare green to emerald colored variety of grossular garnet. The intense green of tsavorite is owed to traces of vanadium or chromium. This desirable hue can cause tsavorite to be mistaken for fine emeralds.

The name "tsavorite" comes from the place where it was first discovered; Tsavo National Park in Tanzania on the borders of Kenya and Tanzania.

These tsavorite garnets were mined in Tanzania.

The name 'apatite' was derived from a Greek word meaning 'cheat'. It was given its name because of its close resemblance to several other gemstones that are often more valuable. As a result, apatite became unfairly labeled as the 'deceitful stone'.
