A strand of White Cross trade beads in excellent condition. Trade beads were made in Europe, mostly between 1900-1935 and traded into Africa as a medium of currency. These beads are unique and one-of-a-kind.
This strand is 27 inches long with 61 beads. It is NOT a matched set, but it's very close to one. These trade beads were made sometime between 1900-1940, best estimates are 1910-1930. The strand order is in excellent condition but be sure to check the detail photos. The beads are temporarily strung and should be restrung on more permanent and sturdy material.
Trade beads are antique beads which have been collected from a variety of sources and restrung, often in Africa, for sale to collectors and stores. Most styles have not been made since World War II, and some types are much older. Due to their age, the condition of each bead may vary. Some pitting, scarring, and occasional broken beads are expected, but minimal. Detail shots of each strand are included in the photos so that you can judge each strand on its merits.
