O.R.D.E.R Civilian Rehoming Project File:
Name(s): Allison. She also playfully enjoys going by Ally and Alice, especially if you make references to Alice in Wonderland, which is an all time favorite of hers and she thinks might be the source of her naming. It sparks all kinds of nostalgic warm memories for her, but she can be slow to reveal them.
Birthday(s): January 18th.
Likes: Alice in Wonderland/Through the Lookingglass, affection, holding hands, fruit (especially apples), spring flowers (especially pink ones), bees/butterflies/birds really anything little creature that can fly.
Dislikes: The French Revolution/references to beheadings/violence, being alone in the dark, long stretches of quiet, books without pictures or conversations in them, brussel sprouts.
Specialized Instructions: Allison is extremely needy. This child is very much looking for an affectionate home. She likes to be near the heart of family life. Allison especially likes to have in arms time or cuddle on your lap, but she is also content with being near the energy of the home; listening to conversations or music and simply being near her people. She connects fiercely and very much wants to create a bonded relationship with her care provider. She really needs her person to understand that she is so much more than a pretty doll. She truly thrives on attention. Allison loves fruit. She gets very excited by it. It is our opinion that she is from a time when fruit was more precious. She has told us that it was her parent's love language. Once upon a time she was cherished. Allison loves the word cherish and feels that it is a touchstone word to her new home. She tells us that she wants to cherish her new home and her new people too.
Background: Allison has a bit of a nervous disposition. Her vessel was in an odd state of treatment when she was recovered by O.R.D.E.R agents. Someone had apparently tried to remove poor Allison's head and her clothing was in tatters, but she was also very carefully wrapped up in bubble wrap and her hair was meticulous. It was a confusing mixture of care that she encountered. She tells us that she was stored away to keep her safe but something happened and she was not brought back to her home…instead she was “cast away”...her words. She holds sadness, but she very much wants to be happy. During her time with us we sewed her shoulder up, saved her hair from disintegrating elastics/gave her new hairbows and changed her into new clothing. We also preserved the locket and bracelet that were taped into her hand when we found her. She perked up hugely in the light of this care and attention. She has been so happy to have her vessel feeling supported and cared for again. What happened to her previously remains shrouded in mystery as she is not ready to talk about it, but she does talk about home and has made it clear that that home is not here with us. All we know is that someone tried to damage her and then the same person, or someone else, wrapped her limbs up with bubble wrap and tape and care…an uneven path…but she has done so well with her healing here with us. Her sadness sparks, but she is very responsive when love and order care are shown. It is striking how much Allison has calmed down and begun the process of rebuilding trust since her frightening previous experiences. It is our opinion that her neediness will continue to calm further down, once she has settled and sees that she will be treated with kindness and care in her new home. She has blossomed during her time with us and is a wonderful candidate for a civilian home where she can receive additional time and attention.
