Lovely light gold base with a pair of flying cranes. They fly above a Japanese riverside with lavender, and silvery irises, daffodils, and chrysanthemums grow. There is a large red momiji (Japanese red maple tree). The right side has a large basket weave pattern. I also see some Japanese Ivy and hagi (bush clover) around the maple tree. The background also has scattered gold leaf style square patterns as well! Very lovely and soft looking obi that is lovely to look at. It has the same repeating pattern which also makes it great for any sewing projects!

Will look great with both Kimonos such as Houmongi, Tomesode, or as décor!
Lovely for repurposing as a table runner, wall tapestry, or as a fabric to make other lovely items such as a table mat, bag, or upholstery!
☆Each obi is wrapped like a gift to ship☆

Feel free order to contact me if you have any questions regarding the condition, patterns & symbolisms, or shipping. I will try to reply within 24 hours.

**What is 六通 Rokutsuu Style?
The pattern is on 60% of one side of the Obi in 2 parts. It goes patterned to non-patterned and then patterned again. Over 2m or (approx. 2 yards) of the obi has uninterrupted pattern to use for display or as fabric! The second patterned area is about 50 cm (19”). The other side of the obi is a solid color silk with no pattern.
Obis are made this way to show the pattern only where it can be seen when worn around a kimono. With obis being around 4 meters, this is a practical design for a kimono wearer as this makes the obi much more light weight and easier to manipulate and tie around your waist.

This is a vintage kimono and will not come in perfect condition, please keep this in mind before you decide to purchase! I try to be thorough in my inspection of all my items but sometimes I may miss the smaller or fainter signs of wear here and there.

The colors/shade of items may look slightly different from the actual product due to lighting/ digital photography or the difference in computer monitors. However, I try very hard to get the most accurate looking photos!
