Antique Caricature & Satire Boilly Hand Colored “ Coffee Drinkers”Paris France Print les Amateurs de Cafe Signed Aspet, FR order Lithograph

This is an amusing French caricatures of coffee drinkers. The well-dressed subjects are comically unaware of their bad table manners. It originally appeared in the collection of 94 humorous lithographs by Boilly Published in the 1820s by François-Seraphin Delpech in Paris, France.

This particular print is made in France , please see photos with stamp on backside images. The age of the print seems indicative of being made in the early 1800s.
The artist favored four or five heads with exaggerated facial expressions. Sounds like the coffee drinkers shown here, are engaged in a particular activity such as looking at art performing music or making a medical diagnosis.

Prints or Lithographs from the series are in the collections of many museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Libraries of Congress.

The print offered here does Also have Delpech's signature , Y. Lith. De Delpech. Also signed L. Boilly 1827. There are other prints selling on the internet but they
do not have the signatures of Delpech, which are newer prints which makes this one a much older Litho and more valuable.

Print Measures: 12 1/2” x 9 7/8”

Excellent Condition, No Rips or Tears, some shades of age and spotting that is pale in nature.

About the Frame:
I have included a Wooden frame with glass, that I purchased the litho with. When Hung it may be ok, but the frame was very very old and I had sprayed a bit of order hammered paint and it may
need a new frame to give this Lithograph justice.
