Rare Victorian cranberry glass basket of exquisite wavy form with order clear glass knotted handle in perfect condition
Extremely rare to find large basket made from vivid colour cranberry glass hand blown in.
Extremely rare to find large basket made from vivid colour cranberry glass hand blown in the Victoria era in England between 1850-1890. It is of large size, 19cm high including handle and 15cm diameter. The form is very interesting, circular at the bottom and moving into triangular shape at the top with magnificent wavy edge reminding us of folds of lace. The handle is extremely intricately executed from clear glass imitating nature's plant branches and folding itself into a magnificent knot. The weight of the vessel is 444gm.
Despite its age this beautiful example of cranberry glass was quite clearly well cared for: this is why it is in perfect condition, no damage.
Decorate your drawing-room or bedroom with this splendid and rare collectable glass item or an unforgettable gift to someone special.
