The antique chocolate box is a work of art, having a hand-painted, signed painting of a spray of violets on the silk fabric cover.
The painting is signed "Jean Marie."
The decorative antique silk box would make a lovely shabby chic bedroom or boudoir decor accent.
This is a genuine antique box, silk fabric over cardboard, showing typical and age-appropriate wear including light soiling to the silk, soiling inside the box, and wear to silk at the corner edges.
NOTE that one box leg is missing.
