This is an altered art piece created from a photograph.
This is an altered art piece created from a photograph at Bowman Lake in Glacier National Park. The original photo was taken of the beautiful sunwashed pebbles underwater at the shoreline while I was wading. Through the miracles of technology, it looks like an Impressionist painting! The finished product measures 12" X 36", and the colors range from the warm golden browns of the pebbles to the deep, rich teals and greens of the water. A beautiful abstract rendition of tone, light, and texture.
Title: "Wading"
While reviewing my listing, I have realized that it's hard to see the Impressionist painting effect due to the small pictures allowed on Etsy, so click the zoom button, and then see if you can zoom in more by "pinching" with your fingers, or maybe by order clicking on a + button, or on my Mac it's a capital A button at the top that you can click on to zoom in more. The photo resolution allowed on Etsy is fairly low, so zooming in this far will look a bit grainy and blurry here, but it will give you a good idea of what the altered art looks like. And don't worry -- the real thing will be nice and clear at a much higher resolution than this thumbnail pic.
The watermark seen on this image will NOT appear in the purchased photographic print.

This listing is for an unmatted and unframed photographic print. Smaller versions are printed with care and attention to detail in my home studio, while those too large for my printer are sent to a professional printing lab. Either way, only professional, acid-free, archival quality materials are used. I print on luster finish paper, which yields gorgeous colors and has a very subtle sheen that gives the image a rich glow without being glossy.
Please be aware that the colors you see on your screen may differ slightly from those of the print due to variations in monitor settings.
