Here is a wonderful vintage Scarab necklace. This is a rustic, bohemian necklace from the 70's that features 5 wonderful hand carved scarab beads. Each of the beads is in a twisted metal, open back setting and features hieroglyphs on the reverse. The scarabs are washed in a teal green colored wash which gives them a very earthy appearance. There is one scarab that is facing a different direction that the others and I suspect this is a repair of some sort- I think it adds to the mystique! Between the metal links are tubular beads in a green earthy moss tone. This is a really fun conversation starter and a great piece of Egyptian inspired vintage costume jewelry. In the 1970s, King tuts treasure was exhibited across the United states, causing a huge Egyptian revival craze.

Lenth end to end:approx 17in
Largest scarab approx 1.2 x .7in
Smallest scarab approx .9 x .7in
Metal: costume, multi tone

Condition Report
Please see images/video as they are part of the description. This piece is vintage and does show signs of wear. The construction is rustic, but sturdy. As mentioned, one of the scarabs looks to be a replacement, it is slightly different from the others. There is also a small bit of glue visible on that scarab, barely noticeable. Feel free to reach out if you need additional answers or photos. :)
