Genuine 1950s alligator purse/handbag. The straps on this can be connected in two separate areas to make it a shoulder bag or handbag. You can also completely remove it and use it as a clutch. One side of the leather strap is rather badly worn and will need to be repaired or replaced at some point. Overall the bag is in excellent condition given age and the fact it was obviously used. It is marked on the interior and the interior is just about perfect. The strap is pretty much the only issue this bag has and the strap still has a lot more life to before total replacement or one could repair immediately and not worry about replacing down the line.
