The versatile Quechquemitl - pre-columbian cover-up of Mexico or known here as a poncho/caplette. Before Spanish blouses there were Quechque's. 100% cotton made from hand-woven Mexican ikat rebozo (blue ikat open pattern ) with hand-crochet connections and decorative lace finish. 25" from shoulder to tip of V - neckline is 15"..measures across shoulders 24" but cut on bias so it can drape. Will fit up to size 12- 14 - 16 XtraLarge
Mannequin is 8 - 10 so it fits a very loosely but better on a larger person with wider shoulders.
Wear it like a scarf covering your chest or draped over your shoulders to the front or to the side. Versatile, comfortable - wear over a camisole or blouse covering your upper arms and chest or dipping off your shoulders. Easier to wear than an shawl/rebozo
These are designed and made by me with the help of a women's crochet coop in Oaxaca. The cloth is a traditional hand-woven ikat rebozo from central Mexico which I reconfigure;
Up-scaled traditional and now a order contemporary accessory. FUN and feminine to wear.
