Presented are two antique John Maddock and Sons Royal Vitreous vegetable serving dishes. These dishes are done in the Canton pattern. They have blue trees and flowers with a bridge, a man in a boat and some Japanese buildings. There is gilding on the edges of the dishes, the lids and the handles. Let the photos be your guide.
These pieces were made in the late 1890's to early 1900's.
The dishes are marked John Maddock and Sons, England, and Royal Vitreous.
These pieces are in good condition for their age. There is some crazing to the glaze inside and out of one piece. On the other piece there is only crazing to the lid. Otherwise, there are repairs and no problems.
