This is a very nice antique (c.1870s) Union Glass Company "Lomax Oil Guard" raised rim, clear, footed finger oil lamp/kerosene lamp/hurricane lamp in good condition. George Henry Lomax of Union Glass Company Somerville, Massachusetts designed the Lomax Oil Guard lamp as the first lamp with a raised rim to prevent spills (C. Thuro Vol. 1 oil lamp resource guide). The burner is a Queen Anne No. 1. It works well and has a new wick included.
