Rare Stangl Kiddieware Circus Clown order Plates - Set of 2!

Fun and adorable Stangl Kiddieware Circus Clown plates to add to your collection or give as a thoughtful baby shower gift!

These plates are from the first edition of the Circus Clown pattern, which was introduced 1965 with a vibrant green order border. Later editions have a different border color. These are both in great condition - no chips, no cracks, no crazing.

Stangl pottery is made of a classic red-brown clay, then glazed with high-gloss. The illustrations are incised, then hand-painted - no two Stangls are ever alike! One of the two plates is initialed on bottom.
