Artists bio: I was born and raised in Oakland CA where I was fortunate enough to attend the Berkeley Children's Art Studio as a kid which gave me confidence as an artist and respect for the process of creating. My parents were from England and I spent much of my youth over there, mostly in Sussex. I studied art history, drawing and sculpture/studio at UCSB I trained under master printmakers Kazuko Wantanabe and Emmanuel Montoya at Kala Art Institute in Berkeley, where I did my order residency.
I work primarily in reduction linocut which I hand press in limited editions—mostly one-of-a-kind. My work is in private collections across the US and the UK. I teach printmaking at the Mendocino Art Center and Pacific Art League in Palo Alto.
