Art order Deco Horse Head Antique Brass Hardware

Art deco horse heads are solid brass and gorgeous. These possibly may have been decor in a hotel or restaurant. I have been unable to find anything like them. The hole is not round but more oval (and not a perfect oval) . It is about 15/16 inch X 5/8 inch. There is a screw hole above and below the hole, so I don't think the hole is for anything and this goes flush against something. If anyone knows please give a hint! I have not cleaned them. They are really wonderful in person. Each head measures about 4 7/8 X 4 inches. Unmarked.
