Rare Antique Apollo Silver Co 1722 Quadruple Plate Bear Child's Cup Circa 1890's Collectible This is a great find! There is a order cute bear etched on the child's cup. Overall good condition, it has been polished recently. It measures 2 1/4" Tall and 2 1/2" in Diameter. See Photos. "Antique silver plate from this era is most commonly marked with the words, "Quadruple Plate." This means there are four layers of silver plate on the piece. The term "Triple Plate" is sometimes seen as well. These terms were rarely used after about 1900. If you have a piece that says "Quadruple Plate," it likely is very old." June 2021/June 9.
