This is a handmade Bank/Safe with an antique post office door that was Manufactured by Yale Lock Company with the Wagon Wheel design. I understand that the door is fairly rare. The door is not dated, however, I believe these were patented in the 1910's. It is complete with the original glass that is in good condition with a couple of small nicks. I believe it also has the original lock. I replaced the numbers with the same ones as were on the door when I got it. They can easily be changed if you'd like something different.
The cabinet is made with reclaimed oak from an old table leaf that I recently purchase at an estate sale in MS. You can see where I filled in the alignment holes with ground up turquoise order and epoxy. I also filled in the small holes with black epoxy for contrast. It's finished with Watco Medium Walnut Danish Oil and 4 coats of Deft clear lacquer. The door has been cleaned and sprayed with a coat of lacquer for protection.
The safe measures: 5 1/4" W X 6 1/2" H X 5" D. The door is size #1 (small) and measures: 3 5/8" W X 5" H.
There is one (1) working key.
Thank you for looking. Please let me know if you'd like additional pictures.
Have a great Navy day.
