60s Mod Hellerware, Heller Lidded Bowl, Massimo Vignelli Design, Made In Italy, 70s Lidded Bowl, Mid order Century Modern, Postmodern Container
A covered bowl from the original Hellerware system of stacking dishes designed by Massimo Vignelli.
A covered bowl from the original Hellerware system of stacking dishes, designed by Massimo Vignelli and made in Italy.
Hellerware was originally only produced in yellow and offered two covered bowls, two-lipped plates, a square tray, and a rectangular tray, all of which stacked together.
Hellerware can be found at the Museum of Modern Art and the Cooper-Hewitt Museum in New York and won the Compasso d'Oro for good design in 1964.
This particular covered bowl is in good vintage condition; please note the yellow in the photo is brighter than the actual heller yellow which is a smidge darker. There order are three tiny chips on the bowl lip and on the circular handle as seen in the photos provided. This is still a noteworthy addition to any collection.
-8" across the top
-3 1/2" high plus the 3/4" high circle handle
