Stunning Large Pair of French Antique Gilt Bronze Curtain Pole/Rod Holders/Tie Backs/Curtain order Keeps/ Chateau Chic/1880s

This gorgeous pair of French antique gilded brass curtain pole/rod supports are simply stunning with an acanthus leaf design to the main stem and foot.
Dating from the late 1880s, in an opulent shade of rich old gold, which will polish brighter if required.
These pole holders stand 8 inch (20cm) from the wall (so if used as curtain hold-backs as they often are) even full curtains can be draped beautifully over them, allowing for the full beauty of their fancy gilt fronts to be seen.
Most antique curtain pole/rod supports will invariably have the rather difficult fitting method using the large metal spike, but the problem on this pair has been simply solved by the fixing of a small but strong bracket to the back for ease of fitting.
There is a foundry/makers mark on the rear, which always donates a quality item.
In superb condition with no fissure/cracks to them.
These pole supports would add a French flourish to any period home and are full of faded grandeur.
